Although I'm not all that crazy about the paint/colors (maybe I'd just need to see it in person), it looks very impressive! Nice power too!!!

Thanks for posting. Those new Merc motors run nice around the docks.

Little Sam (aka minihawk) actually took the pics and vids...I thought the kid actually had a decent eye for the angles!

I watched them put it in at Haulover in Miami. Awesome boat! The 1350's are something else.

Anyone looking at the engine hatch up and then the tiny hinges and thinking how heavy that hatch must be??? To me the four bolts holding the rear part of the hatch to the rest of the boat seems wrong... I'm sure its perfect but just seems it should be beefier...

Nah, those mounts are as big as your hand...Eight bolts through bolted at the top and four through bolted at the aft. That thing aint going no where.

I saw that boat at the Miami show. That has to be one of the best looking boats I've ever seen. They did a great job re-working the deck and it just looks right. The paint is amazing in person. The thing is a monster and with those motors it has to be the perfect Cigarette.

Good eye, I would agree those dainty hinges/bolts might very well be an issue at some point.

Hacth

When I picked up my boat in the spring I mentioned that to Phil and he explained the custom hatch to me...

1.) The hatch is made out of 100% solid carbon fiber which weighs a little more than 100 lbs (one of deal).

2.) The solid stainless steel hinges were custom made for the boat and has 3/8" stainless bolts to a solid stainless backing plate on the underside of the hatch.

3.) When the hatch closes it is pinned down in the front behind the back seat.

This boat has ran over 120 mph and has seen its fare share of a little torture in her short life...and the hatch is still on.

There is another 50SS coming soon...so stay tuned!
