sell or trade?

just kinda thinkin out loud...

I know i will get more money if i sell my boat out rite, but may take forever even if priced rite or even pretty low.

How much less will i get if i trade it? I really want to upgrade to a 42 or 46.

just wanted to know some thoughts and suggestions.

My boat is clean but like any other 99 it always needs something.

If you get a boat larger than a 38, chances are you will be required to have a permit to tow it. In Texas, your truck and trailer combination can't be longer than 60 feet. I don't know what other states require. Something to think about.

Most all states seem to be 55-65 feet for total length. What are all of these people doing that are over that length?

VA is 60 feet, and I would imagine that even I am close to that length by the time you add the trailer (mine has a LONG tongue) and the 4 door full length bed.

you will save a lot of money on tax's if you trade it in so take that into account . plus it will be a lot quicker then trying to sell on your own . try to sell it and see what you can get but also talk to the dealer that has the boat you want to buy and see what they will give you for it . " trade in " you will only pay tax on the difference in price between the 2 boat's not the full price of new boat
good luck
mike

Shoot me a PM on what you have, info on boat and price. I may be interested and also have a buddy that may be interested. Either way, talk to a dealer about a trade, if it works, trade. If the trade offer is too low, put the boat for sale say 30-60 days. If it doesn't sell or get any traffic re-visit the trade option. Good luck. Thanks.

You should talk to William at Harbour Marine. He can give you a good idea on what it will bring, plus he has INCREDIBLE success with brokered boats. Can't hurt to talk and get info.
You dry store, right? Better check into max length that can be lifted / racked.
