F*CK! I just got wood.

Jason, is he doing the swim step at the same time?

jasonmd2 07-26-2011 06:06 AM

No Harold isn't doing the swim platform...I'm having it powder coated and then Richie Rich is airbrushing the logo on it, hopefully today or tomorrow at the latest.

pm203 07-26-2011 12:22 PM

Nobody does the Cig logo better than Harold. You got the best!

Jasonmd2 - beautiful look! I have enjoyed following this thread. Very classic look. Any chance you wouldn't mind to PM me your email address? I have some questions you would likely be able to help answer being a mid 90's TG owner. Thanks.

How about Darren's blower hatch!:drink: That would finish it nicely!

Looks great!

Yeah I know :angry-smiley-038: and it drives me crazy...but $$$ doesn't grow on trees so it will have to wait for now. Of course plan is to redo the whole interior as quickly as possible :evilb:

offshoredrillin 08-01-2011 07:36 AM

Beautiful, very classic lines, just do the hatch in all white vinyl with the logo...classic.

PromoProducts-BP 08-01-2011 07:50 AM

Wow, it really does look like an entire new boat. Have fun and thanks for sharing the pics!

Hmm...there's an idea, but the way things seem to go with these boats that swap will lead to new motors to fill the space under the hatch and a $3k engine hatch will turn into a $40k total motor swap :lolhit:

Yup, that's the plan. Will probably update the interior to the newer style, all white with maybe some charcoal accents and hatch will be all white will matching logo

Looks great. I love the long graphics down the side - really makes boats look long (although I am biased because mine looks simliiar).

That swim platform is awesome man - congrats.

Tom A. 08-01-2011 10:08 AM

Great Job! Boat looks awesome!
It has been great following your boat from the original paint, to the wrap, then the upgrades, and now a complete Lip-Ship redo!
Congrats, you have a true timeless beauty and a great back story in how it came to be!
Best of luck!

Thanks! I really love how the swim platform came out, it looks even better in person too!

Thanks Tom, it's been a good little project for sure...and I agree, it's nice to be able to follow it all the way through. It's always good to be able to see exactly what's been done to these boats through time. As I have said before, I can't wait to do the interior, the dash panels should be ready now so the only "yellow" left is the engine hatch. I keep telling myself soon enough, soon enough... :lolhit:

Nothin' a little (quick) photo shop can't help. At least we can get an idea:drink:

Nice work Tank, but the purple needs to be a little darker :angry-smiley-038:

I'm not Picasso...But agreed.

Interesting though when you take out that little yellow it makes a huge difference.

Tom A. 08-02-2011 09:14 AM

Just a thought if the sunpad bothers you that much:

http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=117

It would get you a season or two.

MikeyFIN 08-02-2011 09:50 AM

Jason I'd go with the blower hatches just look at Kris hatches.. or get old style Race hatches ;)
IMO the boat looks smaller now... Looked a lot bigger with it being only white and Yellow.

PS say my best to Phil and Pat Ringhand sends her best too from Cincy... Way old family friend of his and my "step mom".

I am working on a cushion that will snap on the top.
I personally don’t need it but it would make my girlfriend happy.
