Anybody knows this problem ??

Hey guys, anybody of you cafe Racer or 80'/90' TG owners had the same problem?: the 'wooden board' on the floor of my cabindoor have a crack. I think more after every ride in the rough. do i have a bigger Problem?? Thanx

Mine isn't cracked. But I'm sure it's not a hard fix. If I'm thinking of the rite board. Do you have any pics?

i had mine replaced with billet & then powdercoated. Wanted to get rid of the wood look.

Sorry, can't post pics by myself ;(

I don't think that area would indicate any bigger problems.

A lot of people have gotten rid of those boards and put down a plastic piece both there, and around the cabin door to get rid of the Wood.

If i am remembering right mine has about 4 screws that hold it down that are filled in with wood filler and then stained the same color as the wood. It might be cracking along those lines, but should be an easy fix.

Damn Jason...That came out great!

By the way, I can tell you how that particular piece got broken. Someon was standing on it on the way over to Catalina a couple years back:rolleyes: Hit a swell, aired out and when we came back down, the person standing there put their weight forward on the overhang part. Snapped the piece right off.

So I gather from your other thread the solution is a full boat overhaul at Lip-Ship:evilb::lolhit:

What is that product again, not Lexan, but acrylic?!?!?!
