Wax/Polish?

What's everyone using these days on their Cig's?

Collinite's #885 Fleetwax. This stuff is Awesome, wouldn't use anything else!

seafordguy 08-04-2011 07:39 PM

By default I use the Maguires stuff.

I am sure there are better products out there, and I am sure there are worse, but never dislike the results.

3m marine wax. it's white in color and you should never use a wax that isn't . yellow wax will penetrate into the gelcoat in some cases, not to mention it's a 3m product but i have used about every wax under the sun and there are many good ones out there including meguires and mothers. remember, if it's white it's alright, if it's black put it back!

I use Maguires with the FLEX dual action buffer, but I don't think Maguires it is worth a crap. I am going to try something else next year.

what about Leverage or Vitreo (I think that's what it's called) Those seem to be "hot" ones right now, anybody tried them?

I'm looking for a good product for my new paint :evilb:

I used the Fountain of Youth products on my boat this year and have been very happy with the results. Used the TOTALLY BUFF compound and the VITREO wax. The compound is by far one of the best I have ever used and the wax is great as well. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Used both and was happy with the results.

I used this new product Xxponet based on recomendations from members here, I applied the product this spring and it still beads like it was done yesterday, it is not a wax, but it applies just as easy as wax and has a nice smell, and so far it does last longer than wax.

If you are looking for a weekend wax I use BioKleen Quickshine and it is hands down the best wipe on wipe off product I have found. I was buying and using leverage before Donnie even had labels made. It is very good stuff just takes a little more time to apply.

just my .02

I'm looking for something for a first time application over new paint. Well not all new paint but some new and rest wet sanded and buffed gel.

I have been using Levearge for 2 years and love it. I am not sure if he changed his formula it use to seem to not sepearate as easily but still love it. I just bought the Vitero and used that product and like it, I am just not sure on hte long term yet.

Couldn't agree more 3M marine wax is what I use as well.
