I use the box anchor too. its much easier. it collapses and stores under the back seat. take it out, throw it off the back or the side, and walk the line up to the bow. i've held 5 boats on mine when everyone elses danforth failed to hold.

I would like to see the cig formthe side too. I have thoguht about this many times. or how come they done make then fit intot he front bow under the rub rail...

Default Best side shots

Here are the side shots in the listing. Not very good. Check out the all black dash - gives the boat a very dated look IMO.

I think it actually doesn't look bad at all from those pictures. I am restoring my boat this winter so I think I'm going to add this to the to do list...

That dash really dates that boat. I may have gone with silver instead of black in the cockpit, but to each his own.

Maybe I'm all by myself here, but I think it looks terrible. We have a box anchor as well and store it under the back seat.

I don't like it either. Kinda like putting a roof rack on Ferrari.

My concern with that would be with it breaking loose/coming off in really rough seas / water...imagine that thing becoming a projectile and coming at you and your passengers

there is a guy around here that owns a 42 baja,,,his anchor is just under the bow ,,,with a large bow shaped plate to protect the bow,,,the winch is inside the boat at the bow,,,his set-up fit the boat ,,,not a fan of the cig set-up
