I think they are a great idea and interested in using them on an upcoming build..

BTW --- Awesome job on the restore! The boat looks fantastic.

Dave

Thats for both, They are water resistant not water proof, 2nd time in the water we got trapped at the boat ramp in a down poor:eek: they got soaked and didnt miss a beat. As far as the abuse of rough water, LOTO is famous for rough water, and were running between the 22mm & 7mm all the time where it is the roughest. They have held up very well so far, there build for baja trucks and all sorts of desert vehicles so there pretty tough. Was a bit concerned about the size and being hard to see, after they were in-place that was not an issue at all! Deff. will ditch all gages and build a dash for race packs if I ever have another boat! Thanks! Mike

WOW ! Excellent build. I THOUGHT I just did a lot of work to my '87 TG. Now I realize I just scratched the surface. Beautiful boat.

Hey Mike,

How did you do the rub rail? It's probably newbie question, but I'm curious how it's done. What's it made of? Did you just replace the standard Taco-type rail with fiberglass and paint it?

Sweet boat by the way...

Stan

We had to cut skinny strips of wood and tack in place, then glass it together and some putty to make it smooth... sounds easy huh? :lolhit: (probably well over 150hrs in the rail and vent/cleat elimination)
