42' Evolution? Neat looking and sounding boat!

Does anyone know more about these boats?? Ive never heard of them before. Looks like an early version of the Tiger...

I think that boat used to be at Ocean Performance in CT less power.....

i think there was a few of them... the others were a flatdeck revolution i believe. and had race seating. one grey one burned up and one had some pink and black on it... cool boat with staggered setup. looks like a stretched gun.

The boat is a 42 Revolution bottom with a stretched Top Gun deck. A friend of mine used to own it. Also has a half cabin. It was at Ocean Performance for years on and off. 800hp Hawks and Wet Sump Sixes. I got to run on it in some confused water. Ran well.

I believe the Evolution is the 42 Revolution with a flat deck as opposed to the two humps found on the deck of Revolution.

There were technically 4 built and they were the pre-curser to the Tiger. The one dan is talking about that burned in the Bahamas was probably the nicest of the 4. It was im south Florida for a long time before going out of the country.

The Hardway was my good friends, Chris Cestaro's original 42 race boat. He re-rigged the boat, sold it to Harry Turner, and he and Walter Colins raced it. It wasnt tagged an Evolution.

someone around here had one liste w/o power for sale a few months ago.

Thats what I remember also.... I really thought it was a cool boat... The best of both worlds.... A staggered top gun with 6 drives & a nice cabin......... Love it... Just another boat I want......... :)

What was the cabin setup for these Evolutions? Set-up just like the Top Gun cabin?

the two pictured have a different deck than the one in the video.
the one in the video has a top gun deck and "windsheild" area. and dash.
the grey one was a nice boat. and
i have never seen one like the video. its a pleasure boat. the rest were not.
im going off memory correct me if im wrong.

Same here, thats why that was an Evolution... It had a similar cabin to the gun but it didnt have the big bed area.. Just the breakfast nook, bathroom, & Cooler....

Here's a few more when it was up in Cleveland.......

we rigged 2 of the 42 flat deck cigs the all white one with the black transom and chevy bowties in the rear hatch #6 staggerd no cabin and excessive from chicago old ohio steel race boat my all time favorite cig wave crusher

The white one was the one that burned and sank I believe real Shame. It was probably the nicest of the bunch (though, "The Hardway" is pretty sick too!). Pretty sure theres only 3 left.
