Cigarette Revolution

Can anyone tell me how a Cigarette 42 Revolution with Twin 800 HP performs ? How does it ride compared to a Top Gun ?
What do they sell for in the US ?:D

It's a great rough water boat. A little heavy, but the twin 800's should help. The ride is similar to a Top Gun in my opinion anyway.

Is the Revolution side by side or staggered? Is this boat the Red one. If so this was the last revolution built and sold by Cigarette. I worked there for 14 years, I built it. They are heavy, this one should run 85+. It is a better rough water boat then the Top Gun. The Tiger is even better pre-step bottom. The new steps are way to deep, causing a very rough ride.

My friend has a 1990 42 Rev, staggerd, #3, blowers, 110 hours for sale in Sarasota. I will get his number.

Scott,
Can you give us any details on the new boats you and Craig are going to build?

Please let me know what the price is. The one I am looking at only cost 50.000,- but needs a little TLC

Thanks for your input ! I have seen on the Sonny Lenoard web site they mention a test of a 1991 Revolution with twin 1000īs weighing 12000 pounds tested by boating magazine. That boat should do 94 MPH, could this be right or was i common for the magazines to write that the boats where faster than they really where ? Do you know how many Revolutions where build over the 8 year periode ? How much did the twin engine version weigh ?
Do you know anything about the Hawk engines like how many cubic inches the 800 HP was, how much tourque they made and if they where good engines ?

We built 61 42" Revolutions. The 42" with 2 engines comes in around 11,500 full. Twin 1,000's should run in the high 90's. As far as info about Hawk engines, ask the guy who built them. Bud Lorrow, he works at Cigarette now. (305)931-4564. Our Europen dealer Stephan Dahm sold more 42's than anyone. The only problem with buying one there is you have no idea who did what to it or the motors. Good Luck

Thanks for your great info !! I posted almost the same questoin in the general discussion area. One guy hav a friend with a Revolution with twin 900 sc Cobra engines and #3 drives this boat only does 82,3 mph at its best  What could cause this and make a boat that really dosenīt weigh that much go that fast ? I know there are no easy answer to this question but thought that you might have an idea. If this is the case twin 800īs should only hit around 75 mph. Do you have any idea where I can get my hands on magazine tests of the Revolution ?

Thanks for the help so far !!!!:D :D
