Boat show cig thread

Not one pic?
Or discussion of the new TG cc or the new huntress?

CigaretteSam 02-18-2012 05:38 PM

Im surprised why there aren't that many photos of the Cigs at the show....havent yet seen any of the interior of the Huntress. What about the 39' Top Gun? And was there no 42'X at the show?

The Huntress was nice. But the one built by the customer was very impressive, had 5 eggbeaters (76.1) wood floor, AC on the helm, misters on the hard top, analog gauges, bow thrusters....The 90+ MPH was the perfect resto rod........2 39 Top Guns...Sorry no pics just some of the Cig Girls.....

ktron 02-19-2012 08:57 AM

will post some pics when I get home tonight.

(2) Huntresses (1) Quad (1) with five OB's
(1) 39 TG Open w/twins
(1) Lip-Ship 39 Top Fish with Trips
(2) 39's with 700's
(1) 38 TG with new 565's "90MPH Edition"
(1) 50 SS with 1350's "AMG Edition"

All very nicely done!

Jassman 02-19-2012 09:20 AM

the 39 565 90mph boat did it for me. I like the retro with some new school looks. Executed perfectly in every way..probably my favorite V bottom of the show. Jeff

Yes, the 38 was very cool! Skip told me it was his favorite one there. The 2 39 Top Guns were nice but having black painted motors didn't do much for me. The one with black accents maybe, but the brown one I think could of picked a couple different colors to wake up the engine compartment. The 50 with 1350's, was very nice, a boat that big going 126 mph is very impressive!

Yes it does, more so than most know.
Blee's dad had a Cig back in the day that looked just like it.
Now Blee has that one. Very cool.
Another buddy, Grant Gerety, bought the 39 top gun open, and of course Derrik built the INCREDIBLE 42 with 5 eggbeaters.
Pretty good show for Cig and Oklahoma.:ernaehrung004:

Wow, Cig's display is top notch as usual with some amazing machinery.

While I love the heritage paint scheme on the 38 TG I have one small complaint. I know it has a lot of history but the added "+90 mph" graphics to it are just a little overkill and tacky IMO.

Otherwise, what a gorgeous vessel.

There were a lot of REALLY cool boats at the show in Miami this weekend, but in my opinion, nothing out-classed the Cigarette display! :drink: Here's a few of my shots...

Great Photos! Looking at these boats shows why Cigarette is still superior when it comes to detail, fit , finish and overall execution of quality. Everything else pales in comparison. Congratulations to Cigarette for a job well done!

Exellent pics.

In pic 3 is that just twin 700s in the 50 AMC ? Or is it just a 39 this yr

Two different boats. 39 w/700's and the 50 AMG had 1350's in it

CigaretteSam 02-22-2012 08:01 PM

Was there a Smokin magazine this year?? If anyone knows where I can get one, if there is, i'd appreciate it.....last one I have is from 2010.

Its been said already that the paint on the 38 is Timeless, but i have to agree and say it again. The video being projected on the new Mercedes was pretty cool and the bike up close was cool. The rest of the Cigarette hardware was pretty disappointing.

Louvers on the 39? Wait till someone walks on the sun pad with wet feet in the waves at the beach. I hope EMT's are nearby to put the removed limb on ice so that the doc can reattach it. Its not going to be a flesh wound.

"If you've seen one, thats all you've seen" I feel like we saw an 46' AMG a couple years ago. OHHH, yeah this new one was a 50'. Sorry, my bad. completely different boat this time.

If you were dissapointed at the Cig display, you must be a sailboater deep down.:D On another topic, I can see your point with the louvers.

I believe that they only made one of the 39's with those stupid louvers. That boat was @ Pier 57 a while back and I can't believe they didn't get a new/different hatch on that thing. Not a bad looking boat but the engine hatch just kills it. Not a big fan of the AMG "theme" boats but hey, gotta keep the relationship between Cigarette and AMG good... LOL. They should've tried to get "Voodoo", the 50 that Lip-Ship just put together in their display. Much better looking boat and a better representation of the brand. The 38 with the retro paint job and those new Mercury Racing 565's was my personal favorite and the 42 Huntress was sweet too. I don't see how anyone could have been disappointed by the Cigarette display, it was, as always, the best display at the show.
