I remember Phil had that boat for sale the same time we bought our gun from him (2005). I'm almost certain that boat belonged to the same guy that owns Fat Boy and had the Tiger burn down in BVI. Anyway, the boat had just been brought back from BVI in 2005 and was ROUGH! But the price was about the same as Phil was asking for my gun and this boat needed a complete re-build.

When Underpressure, bought it he went through the whole thing and spared no expense on the re-build. Thing is beatiful.

Can you sit down in those front bolsters if you want or are they stand up only?

greg bakker 03-03-2012 01:13 PM

Damn, Look at the tabs !

Yep that was mine and thank you for the compliments. The boat is sold, not sure why it still shows for sale. It is a very unique piece, they only made 5 but this one was the heaviest and all rigging was TNT not Cigarette. In the day a regular 38 gun was about $120,000, this one was $320,000.

You can sit in the front bolsters if you are not 6'6" like me. Wait till you see the boat again, the guy who bought it will put my work to shame. I miss her already but had not run it in the water in 4 years, sad.

The tabs were $35,000 alone in the day, but they let her run like a 40 footer when you lightly drag them, slow as barn doors though.

You would not understand the difference in 38 guns unless you rode her when its rough. The other 4 90 mph boats were about 3-4,000 lighter.

Tank you are correct on the owner, he let it go. Then he wanted to buy it back after I finished it, NOT

Nice to see you around the boards! And congrats on the sale. That thing was spectacular!

Maybe catch up with you in Key West this year!

One of my all time favorite Cigs! When you see it in person it is flawless!
