congrats on the boat! it looks great! I looked at it back in feb. it was super clean and dry. Randy was a super nice guy also. I know he had done a lot of work to it. I cant believe how much it shined up with a lot of elbow grease. I cant wait to see it in the water.

He didn't wanna sell it really, but had other places for money and time to be so he did.. I am amazed there is no rot anywhere, I was in and out of it with a small hammer tapping EVERYWHERE..... dry as can be. I had to wet sand the gel to get it to shine, there was some sort of repair it looks like on the starbord side of bow up front, like it hit a dock or something, but it looks done right so I am not worried, its cosmetic since inside looks untouched.. |
Yeah it had a little dock rash but that was it. I think the boat sat more than it was used. I know randy drilled a few spots to check for rot and said it was dry as can be. Im not sure how much you paid but when i looked at it it was a lot of boat for the $.

That was the first thing I did when I bought it since the surveyor did not have a moisture meter. I figured they were the most important 6 holes I would have ever drilled. They are all completely glassed back in with epoxy and cloth.
I also found perfect plywood when I did the holes for the hydraulic ram mounts. Cool to see that you got rid of the purple cleat and vent....again, NOT my doing. Randy |
Hated the purple cleat and vent! Hinges will go this winter
