TG Hatch Hinge Options

Time to mount the hatch. I have a personal preference issue replacing the hinges with the kind Cig used (1990s). I was thinking of upgrading to something more substantial. Eddie Marine offers some nice looking hardware.

Also thought about the internal hinges

Or similar. Anyone have any luck with a hinge, or good advice???

Thanks.

I bought a pair of those Eddie hinges for my deck hatch... They wouldn't work for my application. I sent them back. They are really intended for an engine hatch on the underside... I would recommend contacting them for an image of them fully contracted and expanded with some dimensions. It will better help you understand if they will work.. They dont pivot like a normal hinge if I remember rightly...

Are you talking about the internal hinges? I would figure something like this may be better? (without the hyd)

Sounds like these are what you need:

http://manfredfrank.com/

They have a unique swing trajectory which allows them to use really thick panels, have massive load capacities, adjustable under full load, and will not go out of adjustment etc.

These are the ones i have for my 20, i am going to use these and the top hinge ( D shape)as well. Reason being is its a lot of weight to just have it balance on them.
