Heading to the lake again today! I'm pretty confident we have the problems ironed out. Andy at performance boats is doing an amazing job!!!! Last time out both ring gears shot craps because the starters weren't lined up right on the blocks. So it was a challenge to start! Brett said don't worry we'll fix it. So they pulled both motors new starters, new ring gears, cleaned up the rigging and put them back in. Andy texted me yesterday that not everything on the dash was working the way he thought it should. He then texted me a pic of the birds nest behind the dash. He told me not to worry he would clean it up.
Now for some pics: Ring Gear, Wiring Before, Wiring After! Performance Boat Center Rocks!!!:drink::drink::drink: |
Quick follow up:
The motors came out for a second time after we discovered we had some stuck lifters. While they were out we decided to rebuild everything and put in more aggressive cams. Jim with Ozark Speed, and Andy with PBC built and dyno'd one of my motors, before the new cam, and it made 600hp 655tq. After the new cam, lifters, distributors, fuel pumps...etc. It made 692hp 758tq! I have to add that PBC took care of their end and I'm very pleased with the work Jim at Ozark Speed and Marine did. Thanks Jim, Andy, Brett and everyone at PBC for getting us on the water this weekend!:ernaehrung004: They run like sewing machines!!!:thankyouthankyou: |

later I was very happy with the way they turned out! Torque curve seems ideal at 3700 rpm it's 695 at 4100 it's 758. No need for tabs!!! Except in the instance that I wish to preserve my bravos, but there are spares laying around I made sure of it.:evilb: |

Still breaking them in but hit 75.5 at 4800 rpm on glass water! With a seriously short burst of throttle.
