38 TG vs. 39 TG

OK guys, what are the differences between the two besides the obvious 1'? Why does Cig have 2 models within 1 foot of eachother?

I am not completely educated on the difference but I think the main difference is that the 38 TG is a side-by-side setup and the 39 TG is a staggered setup for bigger power.

Someone with more knowledge will chime in on this.

Yup...thats it..the 39 is only like 8 inches longer for a stagered set up

Thats it.....

Went through this before we ordered ours in 2011. Aside from the small length difference. Staggered set up performs completely different. Balance is better for speed and overall handling. On the other hand, the 38 has a bit more cockpit space.

Also, I believe Cigarette limits power in the 38 to twin 600's max. This was the deciding factor for us we wanted the 700 #6 set up.

In the end, both have advantages, both are awesome, you can't go wrong.

If you do your own work, id have to imagine the staggered set up would be easier to work on? Just my .02
