mistress running good!

Took a spin today .... after working on a few issues I am impressed how besseys runnin!!!

Got my best of 64.8 today with my mistress....I am extremely impressed considering the power I have...

I wanna see if I can squeeze a 65 out of her yet this season.....

460ci 454's 8.4:1
Merlin heads
420 came
Holley intakes
HP 500 carbs 800 cfm
Timing at 34

I may wack the heads and get 9.5:1. And go with a tad more cam...just to see what she can run... everyone else voes 502's with lots more money.... and still barely see the speeds I'm getting... so I'm on a mission to see what I can do with simple markIV engines... and no blowers

Spinning mirage 23p repitched to 24p @5100

8.4:1 comp? I'd find some 6:71's./Superchillers, Holley 'Black' electric pumps @7 lbs boost. Bolt on mods = huge gains with what you got for relatively short money.

Done it, and works very well with what you want.

Full Force 10-13-2012 07:49 PM

Don't have height.... If i ever do blowers.... I will do prochargers..... but a couple hundred more per engine I can have a kinda fun toy..... blowers =I break **** toy......lo

Full Force 10-13-2012 07:51 PM

Blowers + trs = fuk me.....

Biggus 10-13-2012 08:13 PM

Right on w/ centrifugal blowers. Easy on parts, boost comes in soft. Find some M1SC's w/ Nickerson carbs. Plenty out there. -I've got one full side in the basement.

Couple year's...... other things first..... i would love to though....

Full Force 10-13-2012 08:32 PM

I was just amazed cig ran that with the power I got....

Biggus 10-13-2012 08:43 PM

Where's your timing at? 2 more degrees?

Full Force 10-14-2012 06:16 AM

Timing is at 34.... tried 36 once...didn't gain anything...

Excess energy has the hatches you need. Factory cig race hatches for a mistress in the same colors as your boat. I sold them to him last year.

Full Force 10-14-2012 06:51 AM

Factory's style won't work...someone converted my. Boat to one huge hatch and did a ton of fiberglass work....its taller but not enough for blowers... look for my pics.... or I will post when home...

What was the MPH gain? Have stock 502's that we are thinking about bumping up. Have to get in touch with Phil @ Lip ship to see what horsepower the bravos he put together will take.

Full Force 10-16-2012 06:56 AM

I would be cautious how much HP you pout to a Bravo in a Mistress, unless its got XR's then its a little better..

I wonder how a Bravo Mistress rides compared to TRS since COG is changed...???

Sick Stinger 10-16-2012 12:17 PM

Same idea behind the cafe or Tg from trans style to bravo. Ride just about the same and fly just as we'll. as for xr v b1 ill take a b1 just for the fact of buy a few of the 1s fair and just swap them out for what an xr cost

If treated right at least a b1 will last longer than 100 hours. Damn xr's wear out to quick. They don't break as catastrophically but you can buy 2 bravo 1's for the price of an xr gear set!

Full Force do you have any photos of you wind shields or flaps? I have a big wind shield that I would like return to a factory look if possible.

Has anybody looked into the IMCO drives? Local guy claims that they will handle more horsepower than the bravo 1's. (yea expensive) I looked at at 42 tiger that had sc 750 scorpions and stock bravo 1's. Mistress is a little bit heavier but the bravos handled the horsepower.

The boat came with a thick piece of plexiglass, party store armor. It works great for taking the wind off your face but I want to take it back to the stock look. Previous owner claimed it shave a 1/2 mph off top end. Next week I'll get some pics up. Thanks for posting pictures, nice looking ride.

GO TIGERS!!!!!

Full Force 10-18-2012 04:33 PM

Whats that boat supposed to run??

Thx, I love this old tird!!

Drake22.250 10-18-2012 05:37 PM

The boat is suppose to run 68 right now. I had it running in the upper 60's when I brought it home, have to run her more to figure the proper trim. Didn't put them down all the way but the boat ran damn smooth. Still have to set it on the trailer at Harbor Marine and set the bunks. Cant wait to get it home and get started.

Full Force 10-18-2012 08:30 PM

Sounds good! they come alive hullwise after 60....
