Not 3's but a buddy had TRS and he loved it. Said boat boat flew straight and handled rough great.

Was offered a deal on some ssm#3. I have fully rebuilt TRS's with nose cones and velvet drive trans. They were also just rebuilt by hubber marine with 11 disk and added oil line to the back. Trying to see if it would be a gain by putting on the ssm#3.

Only drove the boat once and took it a part from the drives to wires. Have no clue how the boat handles lol

I guess that you already know SSM#3s will not fit TRS transom assemblies. That being said, I doubt you would gain from the transition unless you raised the X on the drives. My 2 cents. Bill

+1 on reliability if you have bigger power.

However if you weren't running bigger power, I don't see the benefit of the switch. Ran 675HP to TRS with no problems in my old 85 flat deck mistress. The bullet is lighter.

Running some mild 540s. Guess ill stick with the TRS. Less work at this point in the buile. and can always switch to konrads if need. Pluse can get a shorty for them. Just thinking long term with. 600+ - HP. Would like to raise the x but will have to have a race hatch or scopes. Less the 1" clearance now.

That's the boat. It's getting 100% restored/up dated. Minus new vinyl.

He bought it new in 88', had it for like 20 yrs. Now has a TG and misses his Bullet. Good luck with it and post pics!
