Any top gun hulls/projects for sale??
Starting to look for the "1". I bought a mistress and a flat deck, as well as several other boats and I always find myself saying I still want a top gun. Anyone know of any that are solid but in rough or dismantled shape? My hawk has everything power and rigging wise I want in a gun so it will be up as a donor when I get one and get the rest of the hull ready for the swap.
I'd also consider a very reasonably priced complete boat that I could sell the power out of to recoup |
There is one by me thats been sitting forever....didnt see it last time i was there, so I think it finally sold.

I don`t know how you do it .. working on boats ****ing SUCKS.. Everytime you need something its , climb out of the bilge, down the ladder walk all the way around the boat.. 5 min later you `re back in the bilge only to realize something else that I forgot grrrrr! Nothing is available locally, everything is a wait, God forbid something drops into the abbyss of the bilge never to be found again.. etc... etc... etc
I`m so frustrated right now its like one step forward 2 steps back |
Deep breath man!!! I keep a tool bag in the boat with just about everything I need. Parts, I try to keep as much on hand as possible and plan projects as best I can so everything is together and ready. As far as the bilge well I always keep a magnet in that tool bag and one of those claw type pickup tools. On most boats over 35' I can get under the engines and reach right to the transom. Takes some stretching and flexing but I get it done!!! Lol although if you slip while holding yourself upside down it helps to have tools close by to unbolt the sea pump and give you some room to squeeze your head back out....
