Help Replacing Mirror Plex
Can anyone give some advice on the best way to replace the mirror plex on the hatch? Also, where is the best place to purchase a new piece. Mine is cracked and I would like to replace it and while im doing it I am going to put in pans for a little more clearance....
Any advice or ideas on this project would be appreciated. Tony |

I went to a local acrylic shop to get the mirror plex, was told to use 100% pure silicone to hold it to the hatch and it ate into the mirror. Do Not Use Silicone!

wire from a auto glass shop put in under the plexi and start sawing.

Daytona plastics, or Plastics America, sell it in 4 x8 and 5x10. Lowes has the Mirror Mastic to remount. i use a Rotozip to cut around the hood scoops, then sand the edges then polish

Can you tell me what thickness mirrorplex was used from the factory ? Was it mirrorplex ? How wide and long is needed for a 38 cig hatch ? Thanks, Greg
