I still think it's a gamble at 26K....Stb engine (as mentioned in the ad) need's work, isn't running in the video only port engine is demo'ed.....I inquired about original gelcoat & fuel tanks....tanks are original & boats been painted.

That's a lot of boat if you can turn some wrenches yourself and farm out the rebuild. SSM drives and cruise ship waves sounds like fun

Agreed - she isn't going to divorce you, but you might be taking some "long showers" for a little while

Looks like it needs a sanding and buff for sure. What's up the the skegs being cut off the drives? Does that affect anything?

This was a pretty popular thing to do to 3's back in the 90's. I don't remember what the deal was with why but no, it doesn't negatively affect anything. A buddy had some like that he put on his scarab. Bob Teague had owned them at one time and cut them down while they were on one of his race boats.

^^^Hate when that happens!!! She's the one that stokes the check for it so its hard to not take her opinion!!! If the white is paint and not gel then that thing is rougher than I thought... It is a salt boat for those that don't know where Rockport is.

Baja226sport 02-05-2013 01:33 PM

Ask the guy to email you all of his pics and look them over. This boat is definitely in rough shape!!!!

Yup.. It's not how much you pay for something,it's how much you have to spend on it to make it rite!

New fuel tanks and a new floor for my boat cost me 7k.
Rule of thumb is 20 years & it's time for new ones.
