Anyone Know this 38' Top Gun
Looking for some history on this 2000 38' http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o49725-en.html
Thanks for the help. |
Looks clean!

Those are not current pics. Boat needs cockpit upholstery and floor at the very least. I think the boat was purchased by the current owner about eighteen months ago.
|
Why do people pull that $hit, posting pics that don`t reflect the current state of the boat. ..
|
No bow stop on trailer?
|
yard trailer. Doesnt come with a trailer.
|
I'll sell you my flat deck for that price and mine comes with a trailer
|
How fast will it go with that setup. Would be nice if it was a step hull.

I have exact same boat. Mine runs at least 72mph. I like it because it has a full cabin, newer style cockpit/dash. It is easy to run/maintain and is a wave crusher.

They are two different boats. Look at the motors closely. One boat has CMIs the other has cast manifolds. Also study the transom. No bravo decals on one and underwater transom lights on the more expensive boat but not on the other one.
They do look the same though. Unless the pics in pavkovichs ad are old. Raf |

That's just bringing logic into this now!!!! :party-smiley-004::poopoo:
A very good logic. Duh. Those must be therefore and after pics. Maybe I should buy a boat, put valve springs in it, freshen the bravos and mark it up 30k! Good lord. |

I can't speak for year of construction ie: 2000 vs 2001....But I've driven both a 1994 TG and a 2005 and my choice for ride would be the straight bottom for sure....a little slower but a nicer ride...just my 2c
But since you bring it up...I owned a straight bottom TG and have literally thousands of hours in straight bottom Cigs AND T/S Cigs. I have to tell you I could not tell between the two boats regarding "better ride". I've read the arguments over the years that a straight bottom boat rides nicer in the rough but from my own personal experience between these two boats, a T/S rides just as nice in rough water as a Straight bottom and many that have owned both will contest that the T/S actually rides BETTER!:eekdrop: But it is what it is. Big heavy straight bottom boats (old cigs, Apaches, Scarabs and the such) will just be known as resin buckets and wave crushers. They will always have thay mystique. |
