Need Opinions on Paint Scheme

38 TG. Considering 2 paint options:
1) copy of the latest Red and White TG on Lipship's site except replacing red with silver.
2) Entire Boat medium grey like Lamborghini uses on the LP640

Thanks!
Bryan

There was an older cig flat deck redone a couple years ago in grey/silver with simple blue rally stripes down the deck that looked really sharp and had a lot of people drooling.

pics. I copied the rally stripe idea on the deck of mine.

I believe thats the one I was thinking of, the flatdeck with the haywagon deck hatch.

medium grey is a very clean & classy look.

I like the classic look. The silver is awesome and really brings out the classic lines.

Can't go wrong with Silver:

Frick. I've never seen pictures of your boat before. LOVE IT

Thanks Pete, it's not done yet. Still a work in progress. Hopefully we'll see you out on the water one of these days.

The 36 is grey with darker grey stipes and a ghosted logo. A good friend of mine, Bruce Jones did most of the work on that boat. It's a 36 widebody and looks even better in person. You should see the dash, and new cabin that was put in it.

I would probably take that over many of the newer Cig's and the wilder paint.

Personally I like the simple paint jobs. They just seem to stand out better without all the crazy lines and graphics to look at. Simple paint .........big reliable power and drive package......

Agreed. And I have also seen the 36' in person up at the Bay and again a couple times at the Casino. It's what drove me to have mine painted silver (half silver), it just looks so damn good. Also, it shows the crisp, sleek, and nice lines of what a Cigarette is all about, sharp and smart.

Just make sure you pick someone capable, I've heard it's not the easiest to make look good on a large canvas.

I agree the silver is really tough to work with.
The owner of the boat had someone else paint it first..........then he took it to Bruce to have it done right.

Fixing dock rash and the like is worse than painting to begin with.
