Default No 5 Gimbal Installation

I am about to reinstal my gimbals and I am courious to know if people use silicone ( 3M 4200 ) in addition to the cork gasket or do you instal them dry . I am seroiusly afraid of leaks as I do leave the boat in the water for extended periods of time on occassion . Any input is appreciated.

Thanks RG.
