With that much setback the jack plate may not be needed. Good planning and measuring to get proper length midsection will be crucial. Good luck and keep us posted.

That is the boat from illinois,,when the guy bought it it had a johnson 300 with a ton of work done to it,,dynoed out at 480 hp,had a bobs lower and went 93 mph on gps...then rich sold it and dont know what happened after that..it use toi have a gil bracket on it with a ballast but now i see a fiberglass one with a jack plate..must hav needed that set up for the suzuki motor that was on it so that may explane why the controls were moved...that boat would rock with a 2.5 or a 300x merc..a yamaha vmax with a turbo would also make that boat scoot!
