Craigs ad

Who know this boat? What can you tell me?

I'm around LI a fair amount and I can tell you I've never seen that Tiger on the eastern or southern side of LI. Haven't seen it in CT either for that mater. What I can tell is you're prolly not buying the Tiger pictured for $60k unless its stripped or has major issues!

Your best bet is to call them and find out what the deal is...

That is Aqua Marina Worldwide in Freeport, NY -- check their website for more contact info etc.
http://www.aquamarinaworldwide.com/

They occasionally have some interesting boats for sale. No affiliation other than I bought my CIG 24 from them a few years ago.

Cheers,

Dave

Did you call them and check it out? It is not even listed on their website. I can tell you if it is not a scam then it is stripped boat at that price. The average price on twin step Tiger is in the $140k range.

Is that the same one? I do remember seeing pics/discussion recently about the Tiger with no power/drives for sale by Texas Boat Repos that was listed on Ebay a few weeks ago. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/42-CI...t_11585wt_1166

I remember seeing pics of the one you posted as well. Pretty sure the one the op posted was a Sandy boat. There was also a 46 someone posted pics of. Not sure, all those Cigs look the same haha...

Andy (Magic Medicine) is right...that looks to be the Show Stopper boat. Our friends Rich and Dave owned it a few years back...had 575s in it. All I know is that it sold to someone in Canada, so that's very likely it if its at AquaToyStore.

Magic Medicine 08-28-2013 12:55 PM

Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike, Checking into it. My hunch for that price is it has become a victim of something??? AB

The ad does not say it's a 42 Tiger, it says he has 75 boats for sale and there is a picture of a 42 Tiger there, do not believe the ad and picture are related at all?

Magic Medicine 08-28-2013 01:22 PM

Beautiful ride when rich and dave had it.

That was my take after looking at their website.

I do not recall seeing the 42 Tiger in the above Craigslist ad ever being shown in any of the Sandy salvage/victim sites. I don't recall any 46 cigs either, but I do know there was a 42X with triple 525's that got a little beat up and went for a salt swim... I believe that one ended up in CT recently.

My first thought also when seeing the ad.

Wish I was closer to them, they had another boat there I also wanted but couldn't pull 2 boats at the same time. From recent satellite images it appears that it is still there 2 years later. Anyone heading from Long Island to Tampa with an empty trailer???

Dave

abmotorman 08-28-2013 02:24 PM

Called and talked to the guy. The boat pictured is Show Stopper and it is for sale, just not for this price. He sure has a lot of boats he's willing to discuss.

Didn't the 42x have similar colors? I just remember someone posting pics on here. The 46 I saw never hit salvage market.

SS930 08-28-2013 03:57 PM

Not really. The 2005 42x that was damaged was red white and blue. Nice looking boat actually. :thankyouthankyou:

POWERPLAY J 08-28-2013 04:01 PM

Ah ha! It did have blue on it! That makes me 2% correct. LOL. Guess it's time to lay off the peyote... :drink:

way2fast 08-29-2013 09:18 AM

not to hijcak but how do you search craigs nation wide...
I hate people posting all these cool boats and I can only search statewide and only find crap.
really irritating and silly if you want to buy!

I am sure there are many ways (and apps) to do this, but I still do it old school.

Try a Google Search like: Cigarette Mistress site:craigslist.org

sunset 08-29-2013 01:12 PM

Site is called "all of craigslist"
