Cigarette TOP GUN on Winnipesaukee

Friends,

I'm hoping to locate the kind owner of a Top Gun who came to assist me a few weeks back when my Magnum 27 broke while out on The Broads. The boat was from the Wolfeboro area, colored graphics, and the owner lent me a magnet on a rod to recover a nut from my bilge . . He saved my day, and for that THANK YOU!

We tried to locate you after we repaired and were up and running again, but were not successful. I owe you a tool and big thank you and a few beers!

If anyone here knows who this might be, please pass on this message and pas on to me his email and or contact information.

Thank you!
Mario Langsten

I live in the Wolfeboro area and I don't know of any Cigarettes in Wolfeboro. There is one in Winter Harbor and Alton. There is a guy who comes out of Channel Marine who would have been boating that late into the season. His name is Paul Busby of Busby Construction. He has an '02 twin step 38 Top Gun - lots of yellows and orange in the graphics.

Smokin Gun,

The guy I am looking for is from Winter Harbor, and was out with his wife, this was the last of the 70 degree days . . . I asked him where he was from, figuring I'd find the boat at a dock when I was done with the tool.

No, this boat says Laconia on the stern, I'd venture this is Busby's boat. The couple that assisted me had a different color scheme.

Not meaning to highjack but didn't Winnipesaukee go to 45 mph max speed or something??? If so, a Gun does not seem like a very fun boat there.

Too funny! Yes we do have a speed limit on Lake Winni, but as they say first you need to get caught, then you need to be convicted! ;-)
The roads in much of the United States also have a 65 mph speed limit I'm certain that you never exceed that….

When I last ran the Magnum I chased down a bass boat.... But hey that's just a fishing boat so It can't go that fast LOL inspite of the rooster tail.....

So what's the posted limit? Does it change from daylight to nighttime? Again, not trying (but maybe I am) to highjack but, I have a best friend that lives in Bow, N.H. and we have talked about bringing our boat to Winnipesaukee several times.

Mario L. 11-21-2013 07:55 PM

I used to live in Bow!
Still run a business in Bow . . . . VSR1.com

Winni is 45 mph daytime, 55 mph on The Broads and 30 at night as I recall, . . from all I've gathered the marine patrol is really only concerned about close passage and speed in tight places when there's other boat traffic . .
