Any Cigarette Squadron 27' for sale?
|
I know were one is but it's not cheap. Will have to tack down the guy
|
There is a bare hull in Long Island, but I don't know if it is a real Squadron or an Imperial clone. Either way I am pretty sure it could be had for cheap $$.

They don't become available too often. Out of 22 known to be built, at least one is in Panama, and it looks like one is in Europe - looks to be a Bravo setup and has a custom fiberglass windscreen like mine - He's running Squadron XII decals that look like Cig's. Sorry not for sale, but I just accidentally found it on youtube today:

Well thanks Dave - but that things got great paint, and a new interior....whereas mine' would more likely be refered to as "patina"... or worse.
Yea, I couldn't tell what it was in the Video - it has one still shot, and it looked to be a 27 in that pic.... But these pics are obvious its a 24. You'll also notice the detail line on the sides, just under the rubrail - kinda like the 28 cigs, but the 27 does not have it - the sides are cut down just a bit more on the 27, and that detail was lost. Beautiful paint and interior, btw - thanks for the pics Between the pic above of the interior, with it's different footwell area, and the video I saw of the engine compartment, with it's totally different stringer layup, I'm wondering whether that green boat is really an XEX..... Everything on 24'er serial #001 that I looked at here in Maryland had the same exact build details on the inside as the 27... that one does not. |

The nicest one that still exits is in Miami and owned by the original owner, Charly K. , and has been kept inside his warehouse all these years in Miami. Has not been in the water since 2006 and is pristine sitting on a double axle trailer. Here is the link to the Craigslist ad: https://post.craigslist.org/manage/4586447466
I will post up new pictures on Craiglist Saturday night. You are welcome to call Charly at: 305-798-8284 Call the number, do not text, do not emal, call the number please. Dave |

My old one was for sale a few months ago down here in Panama. It is very clean and well kept. It has a 496ho with about 300 hrs if i recall. I thin the guy was asking $50k.
