mild, your correct, the block was fresh from the machine shop
this is what a freshly decked block looks like, nice and perfect... square decked pistons to be .010 in the hole... |
He has no idea what "RA" is or why it's important. :angry-smiley-038:

in regards to the motor tim, im not sure on where the power will be made, i am just going per the engine builder on that regard. and your correct, we used some low hour blocks after the blocks we were originally going to purchase had sold out. i said all new before we made this change. of course the owner knows this. and ya, its NA with some big domes, we are not building a blower motor so why build a blower friendly motor if we are not planning on SC'ing it? and seaford guy and vintage, i see you find it comical you keeep bringing it up, and it really just is obnoxious. im sure you wont read this, or tell me i am lying, but 1. i never ever threw anything over an over pass. 2. i never intended to do damage to any vehicle. 3. we were drinking and made a stupid choice. 4. what we did throw, was pieces of corn cobs about the size of a pingpong ball. if you think a piece of corn that small being lobbed out of a corn field will do any damage whatsoever then, well for arguments sake it doesnt matter because we shouldnt have thrown it, but like i said, we had a lapse of judgement out drinking one night, im sure you never done any questionable actions while out drinking right? just let it die. theres nothing new to look at its taken apart waiting for the dash to be done for the new gauges. waiting for motors to be done to button up bilge
I still think your a dip**** for throwing stuff at other peoples property. I rember a couple years ago someone egged our Jaguar and I was pissed and it did leave marks in the paint. A corn cob could do the same. I've done plenty of dumb**** after a few cocktails but never thought it would be fun to damage others property. Facts are, I just don't like you, and like most others on here, I know you're full of ****. |
315duramax,
Time and again you have struck out while defending your business plans. The smartest thing you could do is to not post on this site until you reach a level of sucess ( or possibly failure). The exposure you're received here is not good for your business yet you keep posting and keep defending your business plan and you bait or get baited into saying things that as a customer I'd find problematic considering you're selling youself as a professional. Examples : You don't have a clue regarding props so you come here asking for advice. You really don't know much about the engines you're having built for your customer. Finally sorta admitting the paint job was less then acceptable. You seemed to have gotten outsmarted regarding the Cigarete you bought. |
Just curious if your customer is a member on this site? This Teaser thread has been front page news many times over the last 12 months or so I’m surprised the new owner isn’t a member or knows a member who hasn’t chimed in with their thoughts or plans for the boat. When do they plan on taking delivery? I’d think someone with this kind of money to spend rehabbing that unique of a boat would be all over this site, otherwise if they were not into classic Cig’s and high performance and just had money to blow on a boat they’d probably be spending that money on a new SeaRay or something……

lots of people on here got a lot to say, lot of bull sh%t spewing hate for someone. if you cant stand the kid so much then find another forum to post something positive on, i for one, definitely don't want to listen to all of the sarcasm and hate any longer. it's getting mighty old boys. i will vouch for phil on the motor's and the paint. the know the engine builder and he builds some nasty engines (1000-1300hp) stuff. i for one, will have phil do some paint work for me. enough said about his paint skills, i have seen some of his stuff up close and it's very nice. everybody makes mistakes, as long as they fix their wrong doings, let it be. it amazes me how many of you have negative things to say?? i have never said one negative thing to a member about his pride and joy and then carry on about it for 140 pages, wtf. honestly, a few of you need to look into the mirror. i don't care if phil said some stupid sh%t in the past or did sub par work that didn't meet your standards, that only meens he's not for you. move on. sh*t like this makes me not even want to come on here and offer advice or share pictures of my builds, i certainly don't need anyone to tell me what to do and how to do it

The guys that have had issues here are mostly old school. Say what you mean and do what you say types. They don't go on about how awesome they are. If they do post a picture of their work, its usually amazing - and they usually apologize for it not being their best effort. They don't believe that it doesn't matter because it's just the internet. Most have also had the misfortune of being screwed and don't want to see fellow boaters end up in the same predicament.

The best thing Phil could do for himself is stay off the internet and get busy, and have his customers post pictures of his quality work. |
