the material for the hatch arms just got ordered. we are going to pop one out shortly to see who may be interested. once the first one is done and the machine is set-up it doesnt take long to make them. will keep everyone posted and should have some answers from the machine shop in the next couple days. this storm is gonna screw us up a little tho

Great news on the lift arm. How will it travel as attached to the hatch? It would be great if you had it ride on a captured roller bearing along a chromed or stainless rod. I know that sounds cryptic, If I find a picture of the "linkage" I will post it.... I really don;t like the factory setup with the nylon roller and slotted channel, looks hoakie...

I am very interested and will need this part soon. Do you have measurements for the connection points?

i stopped at the machine shop this morning and he said the prototype arm may be done by this afternoon so i will post pics. first design is going to be a factory style roller design. post a pic of what your thinking of and maybe we can make a 2nd design!

it will have the triangular cut outs like the newer style but the it will bolt up like the original

Check out how the lifting point / bearing housing attaches to the rod (upper right in pic), pretty simple design. You can just make the end solid with a thru hole, and I can make the bearing housing and rod assembly here, or you could design as a package?
