Anyone in the Annapolis/Arnold, MD Area
So, this has been bothering (for lack of a better word) me for some time. When I get food from Subway in Arnold, MD, I take some back roads to get to college parkway on my way home. I have been passing a boat under a blue tarp for more than 2 years and I never have seen it move. Recently, with the weather and wind, the tarp blew off (revealing the Cig emlbem) and still no attempt to put it back on. I am really thinking the owner doesn't care and its just been sitting. The bow is facing me so I couldn't even see if there are drives, let alone if its powered. Its either a 35 or a 38 (again, just hard to tell while driving past). Its a long shot, but does anyone that may be local know about this boat and history? I'm wondering because I hate seeing it sit there and have almost been tempted to knock on the guys door and ask about it.

Don't ya just hate it when you see stuff like that! I'd knock on the door. I'm sure it's been done before. I've done this a few times and got the old. I"'m saving it for a later project" / "I'll get to it one of these days" . Meanwhile the old man is in his 80's and in denial. Knock knock who's there? GO FOR IT!

I know how you feel, I go by a 35 Cafe Racer on Rt.206 in NJ no cover just a cockpit cover that looks like it hasn't moved in years it's at construction company. I think about stopping and ask about it.

I've stopped and asked about a few things most not boat related but sought after things.
53'/54' ford f-100 ...young guy, dad's old truck been sitting for 20 years 67' camaro...been sitting for 15 years (non SS but still) 58' cameo apache (sounds boat related at least) lmao rust is just crawling up the doors worse and worse everyday I see. Guys an a$$ and won't let me save it. Of course bed is fiberglass at least. And my dad has a 57' cameo! THAT RUNS! Old Hawaiian jet boat with 455 olds and Berkeley jet drive. Won't let it go. Have to cut trees down to get it. Sitting on Harford road in Baltimore County. And finally a 86' red & white two tone Chevy short bed Scottsdale...rusted but didn't care. It was sitting on the side of a house with 12" of grass. I didn't give up! Payed 1k for it. Would have paid 10k! It was my dad's old truck. Now it's MINE and in my driveway getting restored this winter coming. Don't give up is the motto! Stop by today and let us know what he said! BTW on the title on my 86' I wrote NEVER in the sellers section. ;-). Good luck! |

I live in Annapolis, where on Church Rd? I'll do a drive by...
|
Hard to explain. If you are coming from the safeway side, it will be on the right, just after a huge newer house. It comes up quick. Between Gilbert Road and Jones station.... That is the closest 2 roads that it sits between I think... I'll try to get a better idea when i go by again.. Google earth is not playing nice with others lol
