Seems like a smoking deal to me. http://www.pier57.com/web/used/Cigar...nois/13590479/

It is a cool boat at what looks like a god deal but who puts 468's in a boat of that caliber?!?!?

If everything is as stout as they say it is in those engines, all you have to do is transfer everything into a Siamese block that and a set of pistons, and you have a 540ci which would really bump up the power, for a lot less than a complete large displacement repower.

That's a lot if work and coin to pull motors and set them back up then rerig.

Based on what it appears T/S Tigers have been selling for lately I would say it's probably a fair price not necessarily a great deal. A T/S with 525s was listed for $105k the other day (not sure what it eventually sold for).

Ain't no steps In that hull.

Too bad they took the 6's off it.

Honestly I think 89k is too much for that thing. It's 15 model years old (new ones come out in July) it's got bravos on it, would be better with six drives and bigger power. It's way under powered with what it has and it's not even a TS. You'd be better off spending a couple of dollars more and getting a TS Top Gun. It does look really clean for it's age.

What's the deal with cabin and the high sides or is that just the pic. I don't recall that when I saw it yrs ago

I would be very hesitant to buy a 525 boat with over 200 hours. I have been seeing more of the motors out of boats lately. I know everyone will jump on that. The header problems are killing those motors. So if you buy a 525 boat that is 5 years plus old you need to spend $8k to replace headers. Then you have the XR drive to worry about. These $100k T/S boats are not the deal that people think they are. Now if you get the right deal on the right boat freshen motors add Whipples and Imco's now you are talking! But I do like this boat and there is a lot of it for $80k

I believe that Tiger that was listed for $105k had very low hours but your point is taken. A good deal on paper doesn't always translate to the real world.
