Don't, if the guy gave you the boat, you would be backwards in it by the time it was finished.

I looked at it too Mike, Very rough shape. Needs to be gone through front to back.

I looked at it about 4 years ago and it was a mess. Cockpit needs redoing, electrolysis tookk its toll on drives,tabs transom assy., owner told me it had several different paint jobs, 454's w/250 blowers. Didn't get as far as running them. I have a bunch of pics if needed.

Going to strip it. Kinda a favor thing. Waste of time really. Friend of mine wants a performance boat but doesn't have the money to buy a complete one. So I was going to strip it sell off the parts and the remaining balance just to break even is what he would owe me the he could start restoring it and tossing money at it slowly

The real favor would be leaving this boat where it sits by the sounds of things. And we both know if he can't afford to buy one, he won't be able to afford to keep/maintain one

Mike, I know you live boats, and aren't afraid of tackling a big job. But I saw somewhere that you were selling the Apache less power and that it got the best of you.These things wear you down. I would hate to see you get out of boating because you are burnt out and it seems you are pretty tired of working on that Apache.You think women are bad???LOL Boats are worse! You wont be doing ANYONE a favor by buying this project for a guy who cant afford a boat from the get go. Go buy a brand new race layup 21 defender for 15k and rig that out as the money comes

A 21 defender is not a 30+ cig.
As we all know rigging from a bare hull is a time and money black hole but if I can happen I'll give it a shot. I enjoy stripping parting wheelin dealin. The apache is another story in it's self that will be addressed at a later date if I still have ownership. Searching different avenues with that rite now.

yeah but its new and cool. for what I have spent in rebuilding my bullet and still have left to spend on it. that 21 could have been built twice and running. on the other hand the bullet is very nice and I like it.

stop you people make it sound that there is a cheep way to own a boat if there is then tell me.

Only way to do it even remotely close to being considered "cheap" is to keep buying boats, keep what you need, sell everything else. Even then it cost a lot.

This is why performance boating is dying. I don't think it will all together go away but it won't be what it once was. Kevin is right it is worse then a women because it wears you down mentally and money wise. Oh no wait it's exactly like a women. Maybe that's why they name all boats after women. I love driving the boat it's one of my favorite things in the world but owning it is tough at times.

A lot of guys have been backing off of you. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a boat out from under someone again, or you'll end up getting thrown off a dock. Good luck with the cafe.

that boat isnt any new discovery. i looked into it over a year ago and passed on it. i was gonna part it out but wasnt worth me dragging it back to buffalo

I had this thing bought and everyone knows me and bullets. This is by far the worst one I have ever encountered. I backed out and have never backed out on a deal. There is nothing worth keeping on this thing the salt has taken over. I told him the only way I would take if off his yard is for him to pay me to do it.

i love how people have claimed boats that aren't theirs lmao. i would say, whom ever shows up with the money first buys the boat. it's pretty simply how buying and selling things work. no need to get nasty about it, if you want it, go get it so nobody gets tossed off the dock. i wish you guys would fight over my boat, it's not a pos either lol
