Top Gun 38 Fuel tank Help
Trying to get an understanding of my Fuel situation on my 38. Its all new to me and I've never used the boat yet. I'm getting ready to put it in the water tomorrow and just needing some help to understand the fuel system on the Top Gun.
Its a 1999 Top Gun 38 with 2 fuel tanks as it has 2 fuel gauges and I THINK 2 filler caps. Here are my questions: Does one filler fill both tanks and do the motors run off both tanks or is there is a selector switch to use 1 tank or the other?? Thanks for any help on this. Just trying to understand the systems before I use. Bryan |
2 tanks 2 fills each motor runs on each tank ..you put 50 gals in 1 tank do the same on the other tank ..however you will find 1 tank always needs a little more than the other ...their is 4 ball valves at the back of tank ..you can run both motors off one tank ..you should have tags on the handles telling you how to do it ..when you run both motors off one tank they say not to go over 3500 rpm

1 filler for each tank. 1 tank for each motor. You may have crossover valves under the inspection covers in the bilge that will let you pull from either tank to either motor. That's how my 01 TS was if I remember right

I've run above 3500 on one tank but soon after engines starved for fuel.
