TRS Mistress or Cafe, spinning in or out?
Talked to Brett at BBlades today about redoing my labbed 25 Mirage plus, I get 73.5 @5500 so far, drives spinning out, he told me to swap drives and get another baseline and thinks there is more MPH there before we do props, also wants me to try a 27 Mirage plus, has anyone actually gained spinning drives in on these hulls? and if so what was result...??
Spun mine in no issues what so ever. Docking was fine
did you try it both ways? Brett is thinking in will be faster..

Mine spun in, good for 3-4 MPH
I contemplated trying this on my Mistress with ssm3 on it. The only things that prevented me from it were the labor and the fact Im sure Cigarette tried this on these particular hulls at some point or another and decided to spin them out for a reason. I curious what the real world negative are as compared to the positives. Im looking forward to your results!

Oh man that is a son of a bi8ch, Sorry to hear this, Dam this hobby is frustrating. hope you have better luck moving forward!!
Oh well... TheSe boats are time bombs! Season over .... Time to freshen up!!!! Could have been worse! Thank godbibhave land rot too to keep me busy...
Lesson here: Spinning props inward will loosen rod bolts :evilb:
Sorry to hear it, did you have any warning something was amiss beforehand or did she just pitch and b!tch? |
Lol nope all was fine then boom oil pressure 70, oil temps 200 nothing out of normal
Phil must have done it. :poopoo:
Haha well I'm not known to be easy on my stuff I run my boats/cars hard all the time that's why I have them!
Throwing a rod would make me think there was a fastner issue or a cylinder was detonating and pounding the rod bearing. For most of us average marine guys were aren't revving the engine to the point of stressing the rod so much it breaks. I'd imagine you had some h beams in there ?
Seems like those engines had issues from the day they were built back when the previous owner had them. You prob best to start from scratch now. Throw some cam in those things ! |
Sorry to hear Tim.
Is the block or crank hurt too? |
Fuc k!! That blows, sorry to hear man .:(
I know of a Cig. with a 2 year warranty :D |
