Water flow
I am having water flow issues on one motor.
We have changed out the impellor- was perfect., back flushed everything. Problem is that I am not getting good flow to strainer. One has the water going thru like a toilet bowl and Starboard is just about half that flow. Any ideas? Changing water circulation pump this week. |
Check your hoses for cracks. I've seen hoses with small cracks cause this problem. Sucking air.

i would also look for an obstruction in the drive itself, if something got wedged into the passages of the scx

Now how? I guess pull drive? I looked at intake holes in nose and they appear clear. We flushed water back out also. |
I had this same issue, I put a brand new mercury pump housing on, it had a casting flaw. When I installed it, in between the 2 bolts that are close, the new housing had a hairline small crack, I thought it was a drip from hose, but it wasnt, I replaced with a borrowed older housing. Full pumping, no problems. Just that little air and it made erratic, half pumping situation. Good luck!

What size hose is this? I might just get several feet and replace. As for the impeller housing its the Stainless steel from Hardin( I think). Bad part is tanks are Full and I do not want that sitting all winter. |
