38 flat deck project??

This has been for sale all summer here, maybe it could be a good project to save, I wonder how rotted it is?

obviously the price is way too high but he's had it a while listed I bet under 20,000 takes it....

Someone needs this!!

Price is the only issue.... Needs paint/wrap, kick those trs, and a dash redo. That is just the start.

If zombiecustoms on here bought his for around 23000 with brand new power it makes this thing worth 10000 at best.

What kind of manifolds are those ????

Would be nice to see someone restore that boat

I enjoy projects and like seeing boats saved. However, that one I think I would pass on it if its the one I think it is. I think it was the one that sat outside of cabots for a few years covered.. All year. Before that I was told it was sunk...

It's been for sale for at least two years.... It sat in the parking lot next to the big outdoor covered airport parking lot on Snow Road for a year, all last winter too... I park in the lot when traveling. It was moved out in spring this year...

Yikes, that is the boat. Only way I would buy it if it was stripped out and only a grand...... My boy needs a club house in the yard....

I've seen this one a few times on Craigslist and initially thought it would be a cool project until you start doing the math on it. When I visualize what "new rebuilt big blocks with breakin oil" looks like I'm picturing something totally different than the rusted looking engines in the pictures here. I'm guessing they've been sitting a while since the rebuild so when you add up everything for that cost you could have one of the Cafe's or Top Guns for sale now that are already water ready and save yourself the time and headache.

Full Force 10-25-2014 02:40 PM

I get it totally all depends what your parts inventory and Abilitys are, some guys will do it just to have a sweet flat deck.... Of course it needs tons of work then again I put way too much a Baja, would not be bad if you have a sweet flat deck after!

bck 10-26-2014 02:34 PM

I've seen it at that airport lot also. I think it was there for longer than a year.

welfare racing 10-26-2014 07:49 PM

wash it, put it in the water and run it....maybe he`will trade it for an old ramcharger...ill ask

welfare racing 10-26-2014 07:55 PM

he said no

LOL I know, but lets face it, at 10,000 if it runs it isn't a horrible buy, slowly fix up... over the years... all depends how bad it REALLY is
