39 Unlimited 02-21-2015 10:16 AM

Beautiful boat impressive top end as well

omerta one 02-21-2015 10:43 AM

Many of those pictures were taken before it went overseas - wonder what it really looks like now?

Shallow Minded 02-21-2015 12:01 PM

Agreed. Always liked your boat... Would be nice to see her back at LOTO.

omerta one 02-21-2015 12:24 PM

I watched that video again - over 215,000 views - geez...still funny though!

thisistank 02-21-2015 12:48 PM

Oh sh!t! I just realized that was the Turks shake down run with Phil. "that's good, pull them back" lol.

Cool video.

I still like your Glad better. Wicked cool boat IMO

the devil is in the details ;)

frickstyle 02-23-2015 08:29 AM

Stupid question, why did you move from a 39 to a Gladiator?

Biggus 02-23-2015 09:04 AM

Hands down, my favorite 39 'Gun built to date. Nothing like a LipShip Cigarette. Yes, "The Devil is in the Details"

Smitty 02-23-2015 01:02 PM

I'm sure the video has a few repeat views to hear the blowers screaming. Helps us northerners get thru the winter :) And nice ride as well. Hopefully it was taken care of.....

curious why the change from 39TG to Gladiator? Can you tell me the differences in running and handling

omerta one 02-23-2015 09:23 PM

The Gladiator is a sit down vs stand-up, center console with shifters and throttles; similar hull (the Glad is like a cut down 38) but lighter (no cabin) and more nimble. My Glad also happens to have 800's which is a great combination of ride and performance. The analogy would be comparing a Z06 Corvette to a Camaro.

thanks, from you experiance running offshore how does the glad hold up to the 39tg? Do they run together or does the extra weight of the 39 make more stable for noticable difference?

omerta one 02-24-2015 08:01 AM

You can go just as fast in the rough in the Glad, but it feels different because you are sitting down. Your legs absorb some of the shock in a stand-up. That said my wife fell asleep in the Glad running across Biscayne Bay at 75mph in a light chop - that would not have happened in the 39.

Drink enough and it might....

Exactly!! My wife passed out in the v berth of ours on time. She didn't wake up till she bumped off of the ceiling at least 5 times. Not happy then either lol

Quick question and no trying to start a big debate as I really like this boat...

Taken the boat is in great shape and pictures show its current condition, what do you think this boat is worth??
In my opinion... It has a ****ty trailer and 700's have 360 hours. 700 package is known to have transmission issues, assuming the boat is all original, what is she worth?? Headers 7 years old?. Transmissions and drives need to be looked into? How many hours are 700's good for?

Again not trying to start a huge debate just a simple value and reason why? This is coming from a guy that just re did a 39 last year with 525's w/ header issues, SCX drives new interior etc...

I'm looking for a boat right now and haven't found something all winter for the right piece!!!m

Patrick

Thanks Pat

Thanks Pat

You DO need a boat to run Kelly and I to the keys this November. Hurry on and get a boat.

But you're spot on with your concerns FYI

billy boats 02-24-2015 07:34 PM

My friend has the same boat here on Long Isand, same power and drive. Run 110 ALL DAY
The boat is a head turner everywhere it goes

omerta one 02-24-2015 07:59 PM

Hard to say without seeing it...been overseas for 4 years, discussing price online is always a tough go...
What are other 2008 39/700's are for sale?

notda1 02-24-2015 09:01 PM

I think its a good looking boat and a great package . But I was told that at 250 hours the top ends of the motors should be done . While they are out the transmissions and drives should be gone through . And the headers , well that is always a week link IMO . Could spend a lot of money real quick if it turns into a project .
