I did see the price drop cig. However I don't want TRS drives. Supposedly the ebay one has bravo 1 drives. I can buy it for the opening bid. Wouldn't buy seen unseen obviously. Concerned about salt usage (but most top guns seem to be in salt water) and having trouble getting past the pink.

Is that sarcasm I sense? :D

cig92 03-04-2015 10:40 PM

I've looked at the boat and it's not as described, nor is it a one owner boat. The owner didn't even know what cubic inch the motors where. Not a clean fresh water boat to say the least. Standard bravos behind blower motors, motors need refresh, some interior work, mold in cabin, no trailer, barnacles on bottom of boat just to name few. Oh, water coming through the transom behind the loose k-planes. BBW. Good luck

thisistank 03-04-2015 10:44 PM

What's wrong with TRS's? What's so much better about bravos? Serious questions. Seems like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

TRS's are outdated and parts will be scarce soon but are strong (ask anyone that's owned one if they break much). Bravos are newer and parts are everywhere but they're weak and guns are notorious bravo eaters. Sooooooo, you're 6 to one half a dozen to the other.

At least you're in the market! Lol

sarcasm for sure .look at the great deal sick stinger just got from randy .im sure the top gun he has listed is the same way .funny how randy is your buddy right up till u pay... then when theirs an issue he forgets who you are

Baffling the misconceptions thrown around.

Pretty sad how the go-fast boating segment is so shady and has always been.

I would bet the 700HP "price drop" Top Gun is WAAAAY cleaner than the FLA Bravo PINK boat. If you are serious about buying a boat, you REALLY should look at the TRS TOP GUN. Anyone that says the Bravo will last longer than a TRS is simply wrong. The TRS drives on the 700HP Gun have run perfect! NEVER an issue. The boat runs 80MPH plus and needs NOTHING. The pics for the FLA boat are all blurry...and blurry for a reason. You will be making a big mistake if you don't consider the fresh water, low hour, way clean TRS Gun.

T-RAV 03-05-2015 09:07 AM

You can see how badly faded the pink is in the crappy picture of a picture. I couldn't imagine it in person. There's pictures up here somewhere of the motors and rotted k plane bolts. Even at 39 it's not a deal...

i have a 92 carbon topgun with fresh 572ci 725hp im building. ANY paint, ANY drives, ANY cockpit, ANY dash, its a blank canvas for not much more than the others for sale that you wont be getting exactly what you want. pm me if interested. but jesse's boat is sweet looks like. if you raised the x on jesses boat you could get more out of it too just food for thought.

More pics of the TRS boat....

Unlimited jd 03-05-2015 09:49 AM

Raising the x dimension of that boat without going to Konrads or Ssm would be a bad idea. Those drives are at a great height for keeping them reliable. Any higher they would air out sooner, slip would go up a little etc. if it needed a transom or any work maybe. But that hull does not need a thing. I spent many hours re powering it, running it etc. I feel like we're beating a dead horse but that boat is "the" deal.

I can't believe this is even (worthy of) a debate!

That FL boat is a salty, faded, well used mess. Bravo drives are known to be very problematic on these boats, especially behind blower engines.

The 1994 in CT is in great shape, I've spent a lot of time on it as well before Jessie bought it. The boat is in amazing condition. Not to mention it comes with an aluminum trailer (I believe), I don't think the FL boat does.

The TRS drives have never been an issue on the CT boat, not to mention the boat comes with spare drives. From a drive standpoint, I'd take a couple of good sets of TRS drives everyday over a pile of questionable bravos! Bravos might be newer, but I certainly wouldn't say better.

Here's a little love for Frank and his beautiful Tiger as well.

Any pictures of your 92 Carbon Fiber boat?

315duramax 03-05-2015 03:10 PM

Just pics of it all stripped down, old gel etc. I Have other customer boats I'm doing so my gun is on the back burner when I have time till those boats are done. I'm with SS930 though. This isn't even a debate

Brandonb_05 03-05-2015 06:13 PM

Does the price on eBay include the girl?:evilb:

ham_r_down01 03-05-2015 07:21 PM

I'll bet that pink is well used, faded, and moldy interior also. Bahahahaha!!:drink::lolhit:

thisistank 03-05-2015 07:38 PM

On a side note, the paint job on the pink boat is called "bat out of hell". It was used in various color combinations through out the 90's on guns and cafés. I always loved those graphics.
