Christopher Cestaro, oceanperformance on the board here sent me a pm to see if I wanted a picture of my boat at the Show. I was confused but asked him to please email it. He did and I was totally surprised. My boat was the Miami Boat Show boat in 1993. Thanks Chris, I have seen Chris at the Miami show for many years at the Cig exhibit.

I posted a picture of it now, and the Show picture, along with testing it at Cig 188th street. It was a hawk , 525SC, TRS boat then. So I have been dialing it in for 16 years.

Small world!

kreed 04-10-2015 06:21 AM

Chris is a wealth of knowledge.....

The pic of the boat at the dock. With the hot chic and the palm trees is what Cigarette boats are all about. Great pic, beautiful boat.

TOP GUNS are by far the sexiest boats made.....,period!

F-2 Speedy 04-10-2015 06:52 AM

cool story, I sent you a pm Zero

dcb 04-10-2015 08:15 AM

Great pictures - Top Guns are the coolest looking offshore boats - very distinctive.

Zero Patience 04-10-2015 10:04 AM

I wish we could get all the old Cigs together some where for a long weekend, other than Key West each year. It is grest seeing everyone there in the Galleon docks, but a long tow for some.

Nate5.0 04-10-2015 10:43 AM

I LOVE your boat, from the paint to the power it is what a Cig is to me.

thisistank 04-10-2015 12:00 PM

That's awesome! Boat actually looks better now than it did new. ;)

4195 04-10-2015 01:47 PM

How cool is that! Chris did the same for me with pics of my boat. Chris knows more about the Cigs around then anybody I know.

Talked to Chris this afternoon to see if he could dig up some pics/ history on my boat, what a wealth of knowledge, we talked to at least 30 min, great guy and like he told me, I could talk about Cig history all day.

Flightplan 04-10-2015 09:00 PM

Did Rourke buy it at the show? Cool history.

twinscrews 04-11-2015 06:38 AM

That is a very cool story, beautiful boat. In 04 Chris had my boat built, for the guy who owned new. I told him it was the brochure boat and he was able to tell me all about the build. Chris will talk Cigarette's as long as you will talk, awesome guy very knowledgeable.

Zero, let's get something In the works for getting all the old cigs together. Somewhere central. Would be an awesome weekend

Zero Patience 04-12-2015 06:03 AM

Therein is the problem, what's central? It would be great fun. I could get 5-6 Cigs to attend I think.

twinscrews 04-12-2015 06:58 AM

Is an 04 considered old enough?

F-2 Speedy 04-12-2015 08:04 AM

I say all Ciggy's welcome

I have to agree on the first part, but I think you might have taken a lump to the head recently to make that last (definitive) statement! :D

BTW Mr TG Reed, I know were you can get a super clean 94 TG for around $59k-$79k depending on the day, lol

SS930 04-12-2015 08:41 AM

Also, if you guys want to have a ciggy reunion, you should do it in Chris's back yard (CT/Long Island NY)... he's sold a ton of them over the years and Long Island Sound is littered with them EVERYWHERE! In fact, I think 50% of the cigs ever made are already on LIS... it has to be TG capital of the world! :D

cig92 04-12-2015 04:31 PM

lake cumberland poker run weekend in september. the docks are first come first serve. no ramp or parking fee's. the run is only 300 bucks if you decide to do it. the stated hotel was around 100 bucks a night if memory serves. its late in the season and doesn't conflict with many runs and the weather is always beautiful down there that time of the year and not to mention, one of the best raft up parties that i have ever been to and it last for 3 days. you tube harmon creek lake cumberland and you will get the idea. also, some of the nicest hardware i have ever seen

4 94's within 10 miles, 2 originally 525 hawk boats, all sold at op iirc lol

315duramax 04-12-2015 06:07 PM

Cumberlands a good idea, Loto has a ton of cigs new ad old. 1000 islands is I think way too north for you florida guys to drive up but is beautiful.. I think Dustin was talking about them planning the cig fun run this year so if it doesn't conflict with other stuff Id say lets get as many as we can there!

jbraun2828 04-12-2015 08:17 PM

I'm pretty sure my boat came from ocean perf as well when new

cigrocket 04-12-2015 08:31 PM

My bunny playboy boat came from ocean performance as well!

Very interested in the Lake Cumberland suggestion...but I think we should get together when it's just the old Cigarette boys. Not to diss the Poker Run, but a smaller group would be more enjoyable.

So what's the cut off, year of production, how old do you need to be ??

I would assume anything pre step hull would be considered "old" seeing how essentially they were the same boat from 90-99 and anything older than 90 falls in the older category lol

I'm all game for cumberland. Not an aweful long trip from Syracuse. Id think maybe sometime before the shoot out so some of us who would do both, would leave their boat in Loto and come back the next weekend. or in September would be rad too

Unlimited jd 04-13-2015 06:16 AM

In south Florida an 04 is considered old lol

I have known Chris at OP since 83-84 always inviting, just a fabulous guy.

In fact he gave me a nick name "Weldonni" always made me chuckle.
