On a 90 TG, what type fluid goes in oil reservoir on TRS transom assemblies?

hp gear oil that spot takes the place of a gear lube bottle

OK. I noticed the lower unit only has a lower screw for draining oil but no upper screw to for knowing the unit is full. Is there a fill procedure; i am guessing it will take some time for the lube in resivoir to work its way down before the dip stick is accurate?
Thanks for your feedback,
Shawn

There is also a vent plug in the drive, port side, just below the input shaft level.

Oh, I see it does have a top plug in the upper case; I was thinking of my old Johnson outboards that had the upper plug on the lower gear case. It took 3 quarts in case and 1 in reservoir. Does anyone know if the drain screws are supposed to have gaskets or an o-ring? neither was found when removed.

It should have a o-ring look inside they stick sometimes.

Gaskets, standard merc, flat fiber washer type
