Cigarette 42x 2010' model with 700's

Does anybody know cruise and WOT speed for a 42x with 700s' & NXTs' ?
I have already made a downpayment for it (it has 110 hours on the clock) and here in the Med there aren't many people to ask... .

Consumption figures in WOT and cruise speed?

Used to a own a fountain 42 2009' model with diesel cummins engines, but it was (totally) burnt because of a spark coming from (the factory) amplifier. I want the cigarette to ride better in rough conditions (I will be using it -only- in the sea) I do not care for being the fastest of all powerboats. 90+miles is fast enough for the Med, it is too bumpy..

based on what I've seen, cruise is somewhere in the mid 70's and WOT is mid to upper 90's.

WOT will be in the mid 90's. 4000 rpm is around 65 depending on how you are propped. At 70-75 your basically at 1 mile per gallon. At 65 it's 1.1 mpg. At 60 it's 1.2 mpg according to vessel view.

Share some pictures of the boat. Wondering which one it is.

Thanks for the consumption info. What props are good for high cruise and keeping the boat on plane under rough conditions (meaning being able to keep the boat at relatively low speed)? Owner told me he uses the original one Cigarette fitted (I have no clue what these are, I will see them on the 26/8)

That's a nice looking X! Like the paint design a lot. Congrats.

I believe there are Mercury Racing props on the boat. I remember seeing them when I was looking at the boat (on pics). Cigarette normally puts large (diameter) props on there 42's so you should be fine on the bumpy med. Where do you boat? Two years ago I was in St-Tropez with a Revolution, we had some real 3-4 footers every day of the week. Btw, there was one dealership that advertised the boat as being a 2008 boat and said it was imported in 2010. In other ads they all say it's a 2010 boat. Don't want you to be worried, just want to share this with you. Anyway, it's a very cool looking cig!

I am boating in Greece, indeed during the summer season in the Aegean it is very common to have 4-5footers, which are very sharp, boat needs to cut them through. owner told met hat he has mercury props indeed.
I will check what you said when I go & see the boat.
It was obligatory to pay a downpayment in order to reserve the boat & go for the sea trial, so I do not yet have a personal view on staff.

Where do you boat ziggy?

I happened to be in Piraeus just before the summer. Saw a Fountain and two Cigarettes on my way to the airport, so you're definetly not the only one out there. The Cigarette will do just fine in Greece. You really can't go wrong with a Cig in bumpy waters! I do most of my boating in Belgium. Keep us posted on your process.
