I think when Mark put his Conrads on he played around with his X dimension. Possible he can advise what he found.

Current set up is even with bottom. I`ve played with spacers, props and switching drives around for 2 years. I like it this way the best.

Hey Dan I was just looking at your picture of the bottom hook . There is another way to eliminate the hook , do what I did put a 9 1/2 inch notch in the hull . Bet it will eliminate most of the problem and it's real easy to do . Lol.
RG.

You guys forgot another flatty in town.

Thats a nice one Russ..

So did the Flat Decks pulled from a certain mold all have a hook or whats the story there or were they all from the same mold? Is it only something to be worried about if you believe it indicates a structural problem or if your trying to squeeze the last few mph out.. Probably creates some weird stern lift if severe enough..?

Fiberglass shrinks, nothing to do with a mold. not uncommon for new boats to have bottom issues / hook. Also how the boat is supported on trailer makes a difference.
Some smaller boats have em built in on purpose to act like a tab.
Doesnt make too much of a difference below 70mph.

Understood, thanks for the insight.

That`s a lot of light shining through

fill it in with VE primer then block it flat repete yuntil its gone..then gel over it..thats a small hook compared to what i have worked out...i doubt it will make a differance...if your boat aint listing then i would not worrie about it..find higher rake degree props in got want to carrie nose more,,or raise the wet surface..

Dan
It looks like the picture is taken outside the lifting strake. If so that should be out of the water at high speed.

Measurement is about 5" up from the pickup. You can see the bottom trailer bunk (missing in pic)
