Ended up loosing a couple of MPH top end but the hole shot is a lot better. No real difference between spinning in or out so let it out for better handling around the docks. The addition of mufflers over the straight pipes made conversations and stereo much better but it quieted her a little more than I had hoped. Finally just finished the SeaDek on the platform and all in all very happy with the mods.
May need to try some shortie lowers next time something breaks. With the addition of the ITS boxes, I think the wheels are a little deep now. I have 28 bravo 4 blades and I got 80mph@5000rpm with full fuel and 4 persons on board. I guess boat should do 82-85@5200 with 30 props, so makes me wonder what is going on with the 28’s, since they should turn the engines more than 5200rpms? |
From the factory, the Playboy boats came with the props spinning out. I have played with both. No speed difference. I have also played with x dimensions. The factory setup with factory XR lowers is the best for planning and overall use. I have IMCO -1 on mine. I built custom cavitation plates to get up on plane easier. The bullet is too efficient. The -1 once on plane was good for 1.5 miles an hour, not really a difference. I put a 1" spacer back in, more boating friendly, especially when rough. I am spinning PX5 Hydromotive 30s. I have a little more then 625HP a side. Extension boxes have been placed on the playboys, no real gain there either. The boat setup from the factory, is awesome and they squeezed everything out of it. By the way, in terms of running flat. Straight bottom Guns, Cafe's, all ran bow how and flew especially with the weight distribution and design. T/S Cigarettes fly flat, true, and are designed that way. No need to change, plus you have the ability to not have to play with much tab or drive position. They are setup in the sweet spot.

Any facts about the new style windshield for 35? Like to get rid of the flaps and have asked Phil@lipship few times about it and the answer has been that the top gun kit does not fit the 35??
Thought they were the same.. Cigarette not answering any of my emails... |

Not sure, but the one on my playboy is from Phil. Maybe their was a variation. He used to have them, but not a big market. Remember they didn't make very many 35 T/S. So if it is different, he probably doesn't have one. Boat is 15-17 old model. Any glass fab shop should be able to cut some Lexan and make it happen by making a template.
