Staggered TOPGUN conversion

My 90 TG is going to be going under the knife for transom replacement after the summer and I was pondering making it a staggered instead of side by side. Any thoughts or concerns?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$:greenchainsaw:

If you have the time and money anything is possible. Remember fuel tanks are moved too. Could be a cool project but not for the faint of heart. Would be cheaper to sell yours and buy the 90MPH in the classifieds.

do ittttttt

i would think you would need to modify the hatch. it is costing me around $6k just to add some height to mine, while keeping the overall dimensions. i would bet lengthening it would be pretty $$ in order for it to look factory.

Buy an already staggard gun and sell yours, if you really want to do it.

I also had the bravado to tackle a large project. If only I knew what I was getting into, I could have been boating years ago, YEARS. For what you gain, I would highly advise against the project.

On the other hand, if you are a glutton for punishment, then by all means, good luck to you and enjoy.

I would think not cost effective, but some guys dig the project more then having a finished boat. To each there own. You are talking Driveline (Drive Shaft) Drives, Exhaust, Stringers, Motor Mounts, Hatch, Gas Tanks, Firewall, Plumbing. That's what I can think of on the short list. Cheaper to buy a used 39 Top Gun Unlimited StaggeredI in the long run. And it would be faster. Just my opinion, and it would be 21-25 years newer

Jsbrowni I am considering doing the same thing to my flat deck. But if you not in the position to do most of the work your self then either be prepared to be way upside down in your your boat or buy the red 90 mph in the classifieds . It is a sweet ride and will cost way less in the long run . I am cursed with the love of the project and have the misguided thought I can do anything myself . I need help .

Everyone is offering sound advice here, buy the one in the classifieds, it's a sweet ride!

You guys are bumming me out! That 90MPH is nice but I own mine and can do the work my self. I guess i am that guy that cant stay out of a project. We will see.
Thank you for the feed back so far.
