Cigarette Patriot in Grand Haven
1 Attachment(s)
Anyone know the Patriot Top Gun for sale in grand Haven? A friend was asking about it and was lookin for info, he just sold his previous ride and is lookin to get into a Gun
good lookin boat . . . . I thought the 2000 model year was a twin step? http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2000...s#.V59fyTVoCFI |
I agree about the 2000 model being a stepper, maybe a late production 99
|
They made both in 2000 but mostly straight bottoms. Two neighbors own the boat and I know they spent quite a bit of money on it. Motors were originally 900-1000's but they de tuned them to about 800 for reliability and speed as this was their first performance boat. They have now moved on to a cruiser and are selling this. Boat stayed on a lift with a full cover. I've never been on it but it looked pretty clean from a few feet away. It's been for sale for a long time and I think their coming to the realization that it's not worth what they think it is.

They made both TS and straight until 01 and they even made one custom 01 or 02 at right bottom gun per customer request. Started vacuum bagging on 99 so the 99 and 00 straight guns ran a bit faster. Buddy of mine owned the patriot 38 gun and patriot 42 tiger. Both great boats.

i've seen it a few times. guy's never really ran it a lot in the big lake. idle out and maybe run it a 1/2 hour. never looked real close at it in the shop but it seemed to be in nice shape. call ben at chief/precision power 616-844-1000 he has done quite a bit of work on it. does the service & i think he did the new dash.

Dave call me, we paid for a survey. Passed on it
|
I know this is an old thread but was hoping I could get some info on this boat |
Its at pier 33 for sale...looked at it last week...little rough around the edges in my opinion...I would get a survey first thing...I don't think its worth what they're asking but that's my opinion
|
I'm curious as to why it's not worth 90k given the pricing on other Cigs
|
They have it listed for 99,900 and they told me that its pretty firm...imo you can find a gun that doesn't need the headliner replaced and oil leaks fixed and TONS of cleaning including buffing and waxing A LOT for less than 100k...I understand its a 2000 but from what I saw and smelled its been wet so a survey would be my first move. Maybe I'm wrong as I'm not a cig expert by any means but it was not worth me going forward with it from what I saw. To each there own and it may be a great deal for someone else just not to me

Looks like the transom is hanging past the rear trailer bunks a foot or so as well. Not a good thing for long term and can cause a hook.
|
Its a little deceiving in those pics...it's not as bad as it looks but I agree with what you're saying...and don't get me wrong it's for sure a cool boat and could be really clean and nice but for that kind of money I wouldn't want to put all that time and effort into making a 100k boat nice...maybe I'm just cheap but if I spend that kind of money it better be nice and ready to go lol
|
I had a gentleman that I believe had money on this boat and backed out due to a survey when he called on my 35 Patriot Gun. I don't want to a$$ up anyone's sale but survey, survey, survey....and one by someone the seller doesn't know (speaking from experience). Good luck in your search!
|
I think it might be me you’re referring to on the 35 Hossman. If it is me it is a different flag boat I had survey issues with. Thanks for the replies guys keep the info coming if anybody has it |
if I wanted 100,000 I would spend an hour and put the headliner back up!or if I was selling a 100k boat and charging commission - I would spend a little time and put headliner back up or replace it most times a little effort goes a long way just saying

There is currently a Gun with the same paint for $120k in NY for sale on FB market place. 820s with xr drives imco lowers. I have seen it in person when it was at the local marina and it is immaculate.

This market is crazy.
|
Agreed

The one in NY, Might be a Tiger if I remember correctly. I saw it once at the Buffalo Poker Run a few years back. It might just be a coincidence. Not sure

If you're referring to this one. I think it was the only straight bottom flag Tiger built https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...78687ed4e1.jpg |

Wow.... pretty beat up for that kind of coin.... can't even clean bilge? my 87 looks better.
|
Exactly my point...even washing the outside would be a plus...couldn't believe the condition when I went and looked at it...they said FIRM on the price and I laughed and left hahaha
