Info on 1985 Mistress

Hello everyone, I'm looking to purchase a 35 Mistress from
A friend boat has always been pampered and well taken care of.
It has twin 454's with Trs outdrives.
How much power does this setup have, what's the average ride like on these and
Top speed. With 21p props. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

are they 330 or 400's? if 400's the boat will run 61-62 stock power, ride is amazing and rosk solid, gets better at 70 mph up.... but takes power to get there. what boat is it?

Underload007 11-08-2016 05:03 AM

It's a 1985 35 Mistressit has 454's with borg&warner transmissions and Trs drive
I topped it out at exactly the speed you said 61-62 really nice boat awesome ride.
I'm officially an owner of Cigarette and couldn't be happier. Can wait to Saturday.
Thanks for your input. I'm looking for a fiberglass windscreen and stainless marine manifolds if anyone has any of these pieces and is looking to sell please contact me.

I fabricated my windscreen with Aluminum and powder coated it to match. I built it and slipped it over the existing windows.

First 2 pictures before, then 2 pictures after I fabricated the aluminum cover

No, a row boat would not work for him because you can put a motor on them. He would put a little outboard on it with a custom cam and it would be all over. He needs a kayak. Lol

UGH haha fixing that now... oops

Thanks for the pics that looks amazing I think I'm going to the the same I like the low profile look. Any pics of the inside.

cigrocket 11-10-2016 08:13 AM

I don't think I have inside pictures of the aluminum windscreen. It basically slid over the top like a cover. I just wanted the look of a fairing, I was not a fan of the windshield look of the boat, I tinted them and it still didn't improve. The cheap way would be to vinyl wrap the windshield with white. That would make it look sort of like a fairing and paint the stainless. Just a thought

I was thinking to do the same thing, convert my V windshield to a solid windscreen.......................Did you fabricate it yourself or have it custom made?
Was it done in sections and then joined together on the windshield?.............or built in one piece and then placed over the windshield?....there's a lot of
angles on that little windshield, but curious to know more.

What does that mean?

bigboat28 11-14-2016 11:03 AM

It probably means to not rule one out. You should consider those boats too....... Come on Tim.

Full Force 11-14-2016 11:38 AM

Ohhh duh lol

I LOVE the flat decks also, but if I make a move I want the bigger cabin height of a gun, unless it was a smoking deal on a flat deck that was exactly what I want

Rick G 11-14-2016 01:08 PM

Exactly Bigboat 28.

Rick G 11-14-2016 01:32 PM

Tim you should look at the Beast that is for sale in the classifieds . You could probably get it for less than the ask . It is a classic and the parts are probably worth more than the ask .
Just a thought .
RG.

ICDEDPPL 11-14-2016 05:12 PM

Tim, just buy mine already !
You know you want to

Full Force 11-15-2016 07:32 AM

I have looked at it, and the cost to finish it would add up fast, also do not want to totally update the cabin and such, I don't want a total project, I am waiting for " that deal" the one that just needs engines or a light project, or one that runs and change out power or whatever. until I find that I will keep what I have, I love mine also....
