I am in the process of doing another mold that is based directly on the 07 and up dash. Problem I am having at the moment is the 07 and up dash is three inches wider then 99 and older (not sure about the twin step but pretty sure its same as older ones) I have two choices with the four smaller outer gauges either drop the two outside ones or pull all four in and slightly below the mph/tachs (the latter is what I'm leaning towards and similar to the dash cap I currently have)

My 99 and older dash will work on 2000 and up but is not a direct bolt on like the early boats, it will require glasswork to fit. Next time I get my hands on a twin step with gauges out I will do a dash for those as well.

My Playboy Dash will be getting painted and new gauges soon. I have some ideas, but I just need some Time and $$$

I'm currently working with New Wire Marine to get a new switch panel layout done. With the changes I have made, I now have several obsolete switches, and have added a few accessories that I would like to put on their own switch. Like everything, I'm sure it will be a painful process.....

I am working on one now. Using Autometer Gauges, Carbon Fiber panels in construction. Owner did not want to stray from the original style, so no gps in the dash. Should start assembley in two weeks.

If you decide to go with a GPS/Chartplotter you can mount it in the middle of the doorway. It worked great for me.

Really? I like the wood trim, and left it there on purpose. It's a nod to the past and probably one of a few original items left on the boat.

I was seriously considering a wood floor, mahogany or teak and holly. To each his own I guess.

I like everything except that Janky white recall button............lol.........and yes the wood is awesome

frickstyle 01-10-2017 01:34 PM

Not a fan of the recall button either. May take it out....

It was just put there by the rigger, I was never asked my opinion.....

F-2 Speedy 01-10-2017 02:28 PM

Its amazing the guy footing the bill gets no opinion, that just sucks,

frickstyle 01-10-2017 03:03 PM

^33

Just about everything with this build sucked, even when it's done and runs it blows up. Sweet!!!

I actually may have told him to install it, but wanted it kind of hidden out of the way, not on display, and especially how cheesy it looks around all of that expensive dash jewelry.

Dashes/Helms add up, you can probably drop $10K easy into a proper dash re-fit when you add everything up (include throttles, wheel, shifters, gps, etc. that's all brand new though).

And that's really not much when you consider the big fishing rigs probably have $25K in electronics alone....

1985 Mistress. 540's TRS Drives, then Konrads. Boat ran 78-79. It was a nice piece. I put a lot of time and effort to get her to that level.

Quinlan 01-11-2017 05:58 PM

Here's pictures of our 2011 39 before it left the Cigarette factory. Love the analog gauge look. Tried to add more to our 42 but couldn't make it work.

42X consoles. Digital has taken over but still a few analog circles to look at.

CigR.............Seeing how meticulous and invested you are with your boats, I'd be first in line to buy any boat after you decided to sell.........Thanks for posting up the pictures!
