Not really deep pockets. I am mostly hands off but i have helped a bit with different stuff when I can. Also traded on some labor and favors.

Spent today grinding and laying glass in all the places that were just filled in with resin and filler. On the downhill now but still a ton to do.

Was the hull & deck glassed together before you owned it or did you recently do this?.....looks like new glass, but either way good move.

o.k., so you mocked it up real nice w/ ply.
now your laying what looks like particle board w/ plastic laminate on the mock up and are tack / glue /screwing it together
to make the mold.

that's a good idea. will you use any filler to round out the inside / outside corners on the part side ?
ever use the same materials prior to this job for a mold ?
how did it turn out ? how about releasing it ?
are you making the cockpit side walls the same way ?

go into some detail, i 'm all ears

This is all being done by Bruce Jones in Catawba. All I have actually done is demo, grinding and help lay up some of the patchwork. I would love to be there more but I am not. I know he as done this a bunch of times to make all kinds of molds. He will lay gel then then start the layup. He is going to make it in 2 pieces then do final body work and glass it to the boat. I will ask him about it and get back to you.
