Gladiator info
Hello Guys,
I ran some searches but didn't get anything consistent. I'm looking for some guide lines on the Glad. I know that some of the cockpits have a slightly wider configuration than some others. Is this based on anything? Did they start this during a partuclar yr? or was it done as an option? Did it have any relation to the side by side or stagger set up? Thanks, Tom |
The first yrs of the Gladiators had the tight "shoulder rubbing" cockpits. It has nothing to do with being staggered or side by side. Of course the staggered configuration does have a smaller cockpit in length but not in width. The Gladiators for me is the nicest Cig out there. It's a fun hotrod.

Tank or LS Jr. Will know

First few built were the narrow cockpits. You can tell when you see them because there's almost a walkway on both sides next to the cockpit. I think it was due to being a purpose built race boat. Then when they went more recreational they opened them up.

It was done if the customer wanted. You can get either in a side by side or staggered configuration. The easiest way to tell which it has is look at the edges of the dash. If it goes straight down its a wide cockpit boat, if it has kind of a curved edge it's a narrow cockpit boat

2008 LipShip "Last Gladiator" was the final Glad. 700/NXT's. Virgin was the first. Built to race in F2 and replace Tres Martins F2 TS Gun. I think the new owners of the virgin Glad should name it "First Gladiator"
