Cafe Props

recommendations?

565HP at 5,500
598 ftlbs

90 Cafe so no notch. Bravos.

I have 24's that I'm sure are too small. Also have some labbed 26's that need repair after getting some nicks and a hairline crack, but I'm wondering if they are also too small.....

Are B1 28's too much prop?

Im no expert, as a matter of fact I just got my 1st Cig. I would think 28s would be a big swing with that power and 1.50 Bravos. I would think the 26s would be a bit more in the ballpark.. I've been reading quite a bit about drives, props, slip, etc lately.. I'd be really interested to hear what the experts have to say here..

No expert here either, but I'm inclined to agree with you. Based off what I'm seeing on our Bullet with similar horsepower I'd lean hard towards the 26s. Just don't see them spinning a 28 with that hp and weight.

When I get my boat in the water I'm looking forward to doing some slip calculations and possibly dialing some more in and taking some bite out, just a little tho... I'm a wee bit paranoid about my power levels and the stock merc gears in my imco drive...

My old café with 750hp was spinning 28's at 53/5400 rpm

That probably tells me right there that I need to get my labbed 26's fixed and go with them.....

I'd say the labbed 26's will be the way to go. The labbing process makes them more like a 25+. You should get a pretty good bench mark from them.

On my 95 Café before the blowers I was spinning 26's at 4500rpm now with the baby blowers I'm turning 30's at 5300 same lake 4900 feet

Spinning Drives in or out, stock bravo X dimension? I know that info might be back in your thread but I just thought I'd ask since we're both here..

If that was in reference to me I'm spinning out and I assume the standard X dim the boat was originally a 502 efi nothing special, I have it apart again freshening up engines and aluminum heads might go to bigger blowers and full hydraulic steering, I have all the parts except bigger blowers just need the time.... I don't want to steal from OP so I'll reup my thread
